Happy Monday! We had a fun, relaxing weekend here. My birthday was Friday and I milked the celebration out all weekend long. Speaking of weekend, how cute is this cute is this weekend sweatshirt? It’s super soft and cozy for serious lounging.
This is kind of one of those brain dump posts…again. I love when I have great photos to share, but we’ve been busy living. And eating. Which is basically what my weekend revolved around.
Friday started with breakfast at Toast, which is my fave breakfast spot. All the poached eggs for me, please!
We had planned to go out on the lake, but I just wanted to do nothing. Isn’t that a sad birthday request? Haha. So, I put my jammie pants back on and busted open the champagne The Hubs got me.
I sat on the deck and watched the boys play backyard baseball and didn’t feel one ounce of guilt about anything I wasn’t doing. I really wish I could let myself do that more! We went to an early sushi dinner at Eez. Didn’t get a picture of it, but the tunatini is absolutely amazing there!
Saturday night, we had a birthday party. It was really just a good excuse to have some people over! With moving every few years, it’s been challenging to meet a lot of people before we move again. Here in Charlotte, we’ve made some incredible friends and I’m truly grateful for them. Having so many in the same room made me realize just how blessed we are to have met them!
Thanks to Brittany, I actual have some pictures of the night! The Hubs ordered cupcake bouquets for me. I’m not a flower girl, but cupcakes? Oh, yes.
Some of the photos, we were ready for…
Others, not so much. Haha.
The party moved to the garage, because that’s normal, right? I never played flip cup until a couple weeks ago but I got hooked. Probably because I’m not half bad at it and I like to win. And because it was my birthday, I got to pick the games. Ha!
Nothing says classy like having all your friends in the garage, dancing with the kayak, blower and wagon.
One of my friends got me this cool light board. How fun is it? I changed it to say “Give Thanks” now and think it will be a lot of fun to keep changing.
I’m hoping my Monday includes a red cup at some point. My Starbucks didn’t have them yet this weekend! Hope your Monday is great!
How was your weekend?
