My sis Casey has the same cheap thrifty gene that I do. She has it so bad, actually, that her husband told me to please go buy her some clothes and send him the bill. She just wouldn’t go shopping for herself. You all know I am not about to miss out on shopping for me, myself and I.
Groceries? Now that’s a whole different story. I try. Really. I buy chicken every 3 weeks and stock up, because that’s when it goes on sale for less than half price. The problem is, that Safeway is less than 2 miles from my house. Safeway also has a Starbucks AND Jamba Juice inside. The cashiers there are pretty much my BFs. They know my name. They know what movies I’m checking out of Redbox. They know I love the 10% discount when you buy 6 bottles of wine. But, they are also super expensive.
Casey has a ridiculously low grocery bill. Why? Because of Hungry Little Hippos. She cuts coupons, meal plans, and has the ads for all the stores discounts. She does alot of work to save the money, but now is giving me and all of you the savings without having to do the research she does. Isn’t she a peach? All you have to do is read her blog to find out what deals are where. Use your coupons on the items she tells you to and…

We spend an insane amount of money on food. It's kind of annoying because I'd really rather buy clothes with that money!
i should really check her blog out. we spend more money on food than anything!! it's BAD!! i don't get it. i'm ready to ban myself from the grocery store. i go 1-3 times a week and spend at the very least $100 a time. i'm doing something WRONG!!

Most of our money goes to food and travel…because we are what we eat, and I plan to eat good and healthy! And I think this helps me look even better in those new clothes I like to buy at discount prices!
i hate grocery shopping but i love saving $$$!!!
I literally despise grocery shopping….I had so rather have them delivered, but living in the burbs the closest I get to delivery is sending my husband 🙂
Done! I know that your grocery bill is literally about half of mine, so I need to do better. Even cutting it down by 1/3 would be a huge improvement.
