Saturday was the hubs birthday and his only request was to spend it on the lake. Easy enough for me! We went out early that morning and all had a blast.
The boys had enough after a few hours and curled up with me on the way back in. The rare moments they let me hold them close are the best!
Birthday dinner request was “some kind of fish at home”. I made chilean sea bass and scallops that I picked up fresh from our farmers market. It was amazing!
After dinner, we decided to head back out on the lake. I can’t tell you how many times Cooper jumped off the back of the boat!
Needless to say, we all slept very well last night. Who knows how long we’ll live here, so we’re trying to take advantage of every bit of time we have living by the lake!
To my sweet hubs, happiest Birthday! I’m so grateful for you and our life lived together. I love you!

Hey girl, What farmers market do you usually go to? I've never seen one around with scallops and need to hit up the one you went to… Davidson???

Looks like a blast! We're actually moving to Charlotte in a few weeks, and I'm super excited to have a nice lake nearby. I'm used to living next to the ocean, so it'll be weird not to have a beach right down the street! I'm super excited, though. 🙂
Do you guys live close to the lake? With my husbands job, I'm pretty sure we'll be South of Charlotte, so probably in the Matthews area. Do you have any idea how long it would take to get to the lake from there?
