It’s about time I recap our Spring break trip! We stopped in Charlotte to visit our friends on the way down and spent 2 days laughing our butts off and enjoying every minute with our people. We pretty much all split up so they kids could visit with their friends, too, then it was off to Anchors Awey, Ocean Isle Beach!
This was really our first trip that didn’t involve nonstop work and we soaked up plenty of relaxing time. Of course, I made my boys all match in Tom & Teddy again! Love the blue and orange coral print that is new this year.
The NCAA playoffs were on early in our trip, so we enjoyed sitting outside in the almost finished tiki bar! Later that week, we got the countertops installed and by now, it’s all been painted and finished!
This mudroom was one of the biggest projects of the whole house. It used to be a total plywood room that was dark and super dingy. It’s also the main entrance to the house, so we wanted it to be inviting, bright and a great spot to drop all the sandy gear. I couldn’t believe how little sand got in the house all week with having this room ready to go!
We also prepped for our summer guests. I really want to make people feel as home as possible when they’re at our beach house, so we put together these baskets with essentials for when people check in.
But back to the fun! There is a local fish market that we love getting seafood from. You’ll often see a man in yellow bibs that has been out fishing that morning when you go in! I got tons of shrimp and we had a low country boil on the back deck.
Mini golf was on all the boys to-do wish list this trip. Surprisingly, I came in second place! I really tried to step it up with my athleticism this trip and managed to get decent at corn hole as well!
Our beach days were plentiful. We had incredible weather and the boys were up and ready to take the walk to the beach every morning.
I’m loving this crochet swimsuit coverup! It’s a spurge, but incredible quality.
The views are some of the best ever at the beach house. We have a couple external security cameras and I find myself popping them on to see the sunset and sunrise sometimes! I hate being so far away, but am so grateful for our little piece of paradise.
