Happy Friday from Surf City, NC! If you’re wondering where that is, I was too. Haha. My In-laws booked this place, told us it was 4 hours away, so we were obviously on board! 1 week, 21 people and a ton of fun has been had this week! I will share lots more about this great area, but it’s Friday favorites first!
Beach Time
The crowds are low, the beach walks are plentiful and the weather has been perfect this week!
Girl Time
I never thought I’d be a boy mom, but I’ve totally embraced this amazing life of mine. That said, I LOVE spending time with my nieces. There is one in particular that really loved spending time hunting for angel wings with me this week. We found a total of 25, between 3 walks, and I loved hearing about all the pink, glittery and girly things she had to talk about!
Good Food
I think it’s always my job to make a low country boil on vacation. Maybe because I’m the only southerner in the group of 21 people, but I love it. I added a bunch of sauces and jalapeño cornbread to the shrimp boil this week!
This Bathing Suit
I have a lot of bathing suits. Like I should stop buying them. But when I saw this high waisted bikini bottom and matching top in Florida a couple weeks ago, I knew I NEEDED it. It was about $30 and fits true to size!
Stair Workout
Somewhere between 6 and 6:30 this morning, I found this workout online while trying to decide what I wanted to do for my morning workout. It was brutal, but so good! I threw in some boat crunches and tricep dips at the end and I’m so glad I did it! The Hubs followed me and came in dripping. If you have stairs in your house, a high school football field or stairs anywhere accessible, give this a shot!
We head home tomorrow and while I’m sad vacation and summer is ending, I’m looking forward to schedule, consistency and meal planning! I’ll be sharing a guide to 30A, Topsail/Surf City, NC and some new Amazon finds next week. And soon, I’m going to share some of my favorite big batch breakfasts, which I will be whipping up again as soon as school starts!
