Here are the previous meal plans: Week 1, Week 2, Week 3 and Week 4.
Day 29: Back home from traveling and feeling so excited and terrified for the end! LOVE my new KitchenAid spiralizer and will be using it a ton.
Breakfast: Prosciutto egg cups
Lunch: Salad topped with chicken salad, tomato, olives, carrots and onion
Dinner: Taco salad, avocado lime dressing (just avocado, lime juice, garlic and salt in the blender!) and sweet potatoes sliced with the spiralizer and roasted
Snack: Coconut Cream Pie Larabar
So now what you all really want to know! What were my results?
Weight: lost 9lbs
This was shocking to me. I really can’t believe I lost that much weight or inches. But I feel great. My stomach is flat and everything in my closet fits without muffin top!
Our long term plan is to eat this type of diet 80% of the time, but with brown rice, legumes and some greek yogurt. This will be the majority of the week, with some freedom on the weekends. I think it will be good to have certain days to not eat anything bad, because it seems to be a slippery slope for me. The Hubs is already talking about doing it again, maybe even a 2 week one after vacation or just if we feel like we need a reset.
Would I recommend it?
Absolutely. It was hard in the beginning. I’d say the first 2 weeks were the hardest and I felt like I was in the kitchen all the time. Or maybe I was. Haha. The second 2 weeks were pretty easy. I felt like I was in the downhill swing and I knew exactly what foods I needed to have for meals. I could whip up food way easier once I got a good grasp on what was allowed. You do need a buddy, though! Having The Hubs do it with me as well as my friends Laura, Lisa and Candace, made all the difference. I had those days where I wanted to quit and they talked me off the ledge! You’ll want to do some serious planning ahead. Think about events before you set your start date, then plan out your meals, at least for the first 2 weeks. Trader Joes and Whole Foods were great for me. If you have any questions, I’m happy to help!
