Being that it is a new year and all, I should be posting my resolutions. My goals for the next 365 days. But, those will have to wait.
Instead, I have a goal to get my family healthy in the next 3 days.
This holiday season has been plagued with all sorts of illness of the unknown variety. There has been more vomit, hot little heads and the miserable achey whimpers than I care to ever deal with again.
What was supposed to be a trip to NY to visit with the hubs family, followed by going directly to Ohio to be with my family when my sis has a baby, came to a screeching halt. Nearly everyone in NY got the sickies and we packed them right up with us as we headed home to get ourselves together. Cooper was finally better as we began our trip home, until this morning, when the fever decided to come back.
The only thing worse than snuggling 1 little fever stricken body, is trying to do it for 2.
Up until last night, I thought I was the germinator, popping vitamins like a boss, and tending to everyone. Then it happened. My head feels like it weighs a million pounds and I now sound like the hubs. And a seal.
All the while, my house is still decorated for Christmas, there is a dumped pile of suitcases, gifts we brought home and tons of clearance Christmas crap I bought in my foyer. I was supposed to be un-decorating, and repacking the suitcases for this weekend, but I’m doing good to just get all the snot wiped off of noses.
If I’m a mere 6 hours away and don’t get to go to Ohio on Saturday to celebrate Christmas with my family and to be with my sis as she delivers baby #4, I will be a pissed off woman.
So get better household, I beg you. You’ve got 3 days.

I know this sounds crazy, but have you ever tried using the onion method? I haven't, but I've heard SO many people rave about it. Basically you cut an onion in half and leave it on your night stand next to your bed and supposedly the onion draws all the sick germs to it and helps you get better quickly. I don't know, it sounds crazy, but I've seen friends raving about it on FB so I figured it's worth a shot! Good luck, hope you all get to feeling better and that you get to spend this special weekend with your sister!

Bless it. I'm dealing with similar sickies with 1 child. I can't bare to think of doing it with 2… or being sick myself. Praying you all get well SOON!

Feel better! I read that first comment. It does sound crazy, but no harm in putting an onion by your bed, huh?
