July 1st brought this guy’s 8 month Birthday. I went with baseball fabric, since this weekend will be his first trip to the ball park! We’re headed to Citi Field to see our beloved New York Mets!
This month’s milestones:
Crawling. Albeit a weird, 1 knee, 1 big toe kinda shimmy. He’s fast, too, making being away from our own house right now quite the challenge. People actually have normally lived in houses that don’t have wire covers and padded corners all over. Who would’ve thought!?
Eating. Much more solid food than before. He’s eating 2-3 times a day and hasn’t turned anything down yet.
Sleeping. Y’all. My baby isn’t sleeping in his carseat anymore! I dreaded moving him to his crib. He slept so well in the carseat and I didn’t want to endure the “crying it out” torture that we had to do with Cooper. But, a miraculous thing happened. He didn’t cry. He slept. Then when he woke in the middle of the night, I stuck his passie back in and he slept some more. I can’t even tell you how exciting this is for us!
Talking. He says Dada, Mama, Hi (while waving! squee!) and the occasional bye bye, which I think he is actually saying for brother. So much fun.
Callan still is our happy, content baby that loves eating his own toes and playing with his big bro. I am still so amazed at how my boys can be so similar in some ways and how totally different in others. Its so fun!
I swore I was the only one that allowed my baby to sleep in her car seat. I am glad that I was not the only one. He is too cute.
It's been 8 months already?! Where is the time going? Glad to hear that the transition to the crib is going well. We'll be transitioning JJ to his own bed once we move. I'm hoping that is goes half as well.
