Last fall, we got an iPad. I use it all the time, but realized a couple weeks back that Cooper apparently uses it, too. He figured out the unlock thing and can totally go to iTunes and play the music without us ever teaching him how.
When I was working over the weekend, my sweet hubs decided to get Cooper an app. He got him some alphabet painting thing that he really loves. Problem is, he really loves it.
We had our neighbors over for dinner Sunday and he was playing it a lot while I was cooking and doing last minute cleaning. Monday morning came and I couldn’t find the iPad anywhere. I searched all over the place. For 3 HOURS. I kept asking Coop where it was and he would say he didn’t know.
Then I went to do my monthly task #3 on the cleaning schedule: Organize the toys in the basement and there I found it.
In the toy chest.
Last night he took himself to the download page and said “I need more games, Mommy”. So I got him a Toy Story game, because I’m nice like that.
But now he won’t give it back.
He just keeps saying, “thanks for my iPad”. {at least he has manners}
He grabs it out of the office, sits on the couch and goes right to his games. At 2 freakin years old.
I’m completely certain we’ll be tweeting each other in no time.
{If you were wondering, my child does indeed, like any good techie, stay at home in his pajamas all day.}

Me and the hubs were just having this conversation yesterday. My kids always have my iphone playing the preschool games. I said we need an ipad just so I can have my phone back! We were talking about how they'll never know anything other than iphones, 3d tvs, and all the cool "futuristic" stuff like video games that use no controllers whatsoever but your body. It's crazy to think about considering the stuff we grew up with in the 80s!

This is why we put a lock code on the ipad and our phones. So they don't turn up missing with Addison. She also enjoys angry birds and plants vs zombies– both of your boys would like those. 🙂 She also enjoys youtubing her favorite cartoons. Addison already asked for her own for Christmas. Yikes.

My daughter does the same thing on my droid phone. She plays the puzzles and knows how to do so much! And she's only 3. I've had to ground her from it several times and take it away for several days because she starts to get an attitude and wants to play it ALL the time and do nothing else and then when I say she can't, she gets mad. IT is nice we are out and about and it keeps her occupied. 🙂

That is so funny!
My parents watched my nephews this summer for an afternoon, and my 3 year old nephew had earned 15 minutes on my brother's Ipad (they use it to reward him; I think that time it was for smiling for family pictures!). Caleb had to show my dad how to work it for his reward time to be used. 🙂

Lol. Landon does the same thing he loves to play games and watch nexflix on my my Ipad. He always says I need my Ipad it's so cute.

hahaha! that's hilarious! I am a techie, but married to a penny pincher, so we have no fun techie things. so sadly, my baby probably won't know how to work some of those awesome things until they are way outdated.

There was a two-year-old at my boyfriend's sister's house for a party not too long back who had their own Ipod Touch and just sat there playing apps! So funny.
Speaking of the boyfriend…I posted the wedding pictures on my blog tonight! I know, I can't believe it either! I'm trying to get better about that thing! Oh, and are we friends on Facebook? Because all the pictures are on there. I'll DM you my full name on Twitter so you can add me if you like.
Xo!

After having two techie kids, I figure it's a losing battle trying to change them 🙂 Easton beats my time every stinkin time on that Toy Story memory game. I figure we're really helping them out in the long run …. it's a technological world, right!?

I love that u found it in his toy chest. Too cute!

That's so cute. If I get an iPad, my son won't be touching it unsupervised. He's not always careful.
