Y’all, its been banana pancakes over here.
I never knew the week of home closing would be so stressful. Or that I would have to do so much. I mean, I thought I just had to sign my life away and turn over all the money in my piggy bank.
So far this week, we had our inspection. Then we had a walk through where we put blue tape on any and everything that wasn’t perfect.
I felt bad, then I remembered my empty piggy bank and started slapping that stuff up everywhere.
I have set up 2 out of 3 utilities. Which took the greater part of 2 nap times.
I learned that Comcast will take 3 weeks to even know IF they can get us service, and I’ve yet to find an internet provider. How will I survive without internet!?!
We decided on 3 paint colors for the first floor and bought them.
We went to 4 furniture stores, and agreed on nothing.
My car looks like I live in it. There are pillows, clothes on hangers, paint cans, a hand mixer, rugs, a fireplace log holder and food.
I’ve been fueling up on fast food because of the intense lack of time.
But…..come Friday, I’ll be a homeowner.
We’ll be snuggled up on our air mattress with a little bubbly.
Then Saturday, our stuff will be delivered, and all this craziness, will be kicked to the curb with the boxes.
Then maybe, just maybe, I’ll miss living in a hotel, and having perfectly good excuses to eat fast food.
Yay! I'm so excited for you! What a crazy stressful week, but I'm sure it will all be worth it! Congrats, my dear!!!

oh hun!! i know how crazy you must be right now! i've been there…twice!! but you're right it will be so worth it!!! and you'll be in a HOUSE!! your house!!! i cannot wait to take photo tours of it!!!
and soooo crazy! i say "banana cakes" ALLLLL the time!!!!! i like to make up words/phrases and this is one of my favorites…so silly!!
I hate setting up utilities. They take so long and they are so much to start up.
Everything is crazy, but you know in a few short days, you will have YOUR home for your family!
Just think with all of this hard work…you will finally be in a house! YEAH for you Molly! I cannot wait to see finished product! So exciting! Good luck and keep the updates coming so we can see your new castle!!!
How exciting! I remember when we bought our first house and I was SO stressed. It's probably one of the most nerve wracking things you'll ever do!!!
No internet for 3 weeks???? Yuck! That's the nice thing about my hubby's job – we always have cable, internet and phone. Hope yours is hooked up quickly!!! 🙂

I totally feel you! We are living in a hotel in NJ while we are buying a house in Utah and getting ready to move out there..it can all be so stressful and overwhelming! You are a total rockstar and I can't wait to see pics!
Yay for almost being in your own home!!! It is going to be so exciting to move in and set everything up. I know it is stressful now, but you are almost there girl.

Oh Molly! You do sound crazy busy. I'm thankful that you're staying on your blog though. I'm always looking for your updates! Yes, go check out goodwill. I bet Virginia has some amazing ones. I'm OBSESSED. A lot of times there is a lot of junk but there are times when I hit the jackpot. It's always hit or miss. I go like 4 times a week. Crazy, I know. Yay for being a homeowner! That's very exciting, Molls, the stress is certainly a pain at this point, but once things settle down and you look at your home and the family in it, you'll realize all of the stress was worth it.
However, take it easy if you can.
There might be some Carlos' bakery goods coming your way as a reward for the stress haha
