Happy Monday! We had one of the most fun and relaxing weekends that we’ve had in awhile this last weekend. We’ve been insanely busy lately and it was nice to be home for the weekend and be able to spend some good time together as a family and with our friends!
We started the weekend really early with a grown up boat night on Thursday. We went to dinner and cruised around until it was too cold to stay out. On Friday night, one of my neighbors hosted a girls wine tasting night. She put little cards on our porches a couple weeks ago, assigning us to a type of wine. Mine was prosecco!
She wrapped everyones wine in brown paper bags with numbers on them. Everyone went around with their glass, tasting the wines, making notes of the flavors and then guessing what kind they were. It was harder than I though, but so fun! I got 7 out of 11 right, but I’m not sure if I should be proud of that or not…
On Saturday morning, the boys had a baseball scrimmage, then we hit the lake! Cooper loves driving the boat and I think this is his first time doing it 1 armed. Only 2 more weeks until the cast comes off!
Saturday night was a total blast. One of our neighbors hosts a Hogfest every year and there’s always a theme. This year was all 80s! They always go all out, but the pac-man dance floor and giant, light up rubik’s cubes pushed this one over the edge. There was a 150lb pig, more food than you can imagine and the happiest little ones running all around. The Hubs and I had fun getting a little dressed up, while the boys stuck to ‘stay rad’ baseball hats, since the 80s styles are “tacky”. Hehe.
Lincoln was literally tearing up the dance floor. He danced to nearly every song, with breaks only to snag more cookies. He made it until about 9:15, when he laid right down in the middle of the street. We knew that was our cue to get home! On Sunday morning, we went to church, followed by a stop at Clean Juice Davidson (I got the pumpkin spice one and it’s delish!) and one of the boys favorite parks. The Hubs had the camera out after doing some pictures for me and he got the best shots of our little guys! Now I just need to get so many of these pictures printed!
Hope you all had a great weekend and a wonderful week!
