It really hasn’t been that exciting around here lately, with nearly everyone dying from the flu. (Which I’m sure you’re all done hearing about!) I’ve cleaned and cleaned and cleaned some more. Done about 30 loads of laundry and sprayed all the Lysol that Walmart had in stock in my house. And I finally feel like we’re seeing the end. Thank God. I cleaned all the bathrooms this morning and have everyone’s sheets in the wash now. The windows are open, it’s sunny and it’s going to be a beautiful day!
Here’s what has been happening around here in the last couple of weeks, in good old fashioned iPhone pics.
I got my easter decorations up at some point in the last couple of weeks and I’m totally loving the springy feel it brings. My boxwood wreath from Christmas is still kicking.
I made these Irish Nachos on St. Patrick’s Day and they were the best cheat food I’ve had in a long time!
Speaking of St. Patrick’s Day, I also made this Lucky Charms Snack Mix. It would be delicious for Easter, too!
I made this Pineapple Salsa for a neighborhood party that we went to. It’s just pineapple, onion, red pepper, cilantro, lime juice. Shame on me for not at least taking a picture when it was on the pretty tray instead of a paper towel, but you get the idea. It’s such a cute dish to bring to a party and is really easy!
Coffee. Drinking all the coffee. We’re all still so tired from fighting the flu for so long, that we’ve been sleeping really late and trying to recover!
The nice weather has brought us a lot more outside time. Which makes Lincoln really happy since he goes around chanting “outside!” all the time!
But he does get his fair share of outdoor time at the ball field. Where we live 3 days a week. And I LOVE it.
On Sunday, we got out on the lake for the first really warm and sunny day. I got red cheeks, but it was really nice being outside on the water.
This is just a quote that I saw online and loved. I’m learning more and more that I really only need to care what a select few people think of me. I’m becoming more confident in myself and realizing life is too short for the drama that others can bring into my life.
One day I should probably do a post on all the random stuff I screenshot on my phone. There’s some good stuff there! Haha. I screenshot people’s Instastories so I can remember to try things out that they recommend, cute outfits, quotes, picture ideas, recipes, you name it.
Are you a screen-shotter like me?
Happy Tuesday!
