I’ve been busy, busy with all our traveling this month, but had to come back to document Lincoln’s 7th Birthday! How can my sweet little man be 7 already!? It absolutely feels like the end of a stage for me. 7 seems like such a big kid age and he sure does act like a big kid. I guess being the youngest has made him much more mature than his brothers were at this age.
We had a special day celebration with family on his actual Birthday. Big family breakfast, bike riding to McDonalds for lunch, fun at the arcade, his favorite local spot for dinner and a movie night.
The next weekend, we got to celebrate with all his friends. We had a sports theme birthday party that turned out so well! We had a sports bounce house, concession style food and 15 of his new Michigan friends over for a couple hours of fun. I was so happy with how everything turned out and he had an absolute blast!
I put on the invitation for his friends to wear their favorite team’s jersey. The food was really easy and fun to eat. Hot Dogs, soft pretzels, nachos and cheese, chips, grapes and cake were served. I used the sunflower seeds, cracker jacks and goodie bags as decoration on the counter and had the kids take each thing on their way out. It was one of the more simple parties I’ve thrown and made me so happy that he had so many great friends already here to invite!
