7 years ago, I had my first baby. As a new stay at home mom, I felt like I had a decent amount of down time, while my baby slept so much in those first few months. I was pretty good about getting things done during that time, too. One thing I’m especially proud of, is my firstborn’s scrapbook. I printed pictures, clipped colorful and printed card stock into fun shapes and documented his whole life. Until he was 6 months old. See, he started crawling and any down time I had was now gone.
Fast forward to now, as I’m about to have baby #3, and still the only scrapbook I have is the first 6 months of my firstborn’s life. On top of that, I’m really the only one that enjoys that cute collection of raised stickers and quote bubbles. Family and friends have to rely on social media to keep track of my kids’ lives, because it’s just easier to upload pictures and videos right from my phone than to do anything else.
I recently downloaded the RealTimes™ app, while on our beach vacation. With claims to create stories from my photos and videos automagically, I decided to give it a shot with the millions of random photos I’d snapped of scenery, cousins and donuts on our trip. As soon as it downloaded, I had five 30-second videos waiting on me. They were complete with music in the background and fading in and out photos. They were sorted by date, easy to edit and ready to share with anyone I pleased. For me, the best part is knowing that these videos are automatically backed up to a private cloud drive, available to access from your phone, computer, or TV. It really doesn’t get any easier than that!
