The Wey Family is ready for our next adventure…see you soon, North Carolina!
Surprising to me and I assume many of you, we have lived in Michigan for 3 years this July! The time really has flown by. This is the 4th place we’ve lived for 3 years, with Charlotte being the only place to keep us longer. We have hoped, the whole time we’ve lived here, that a move back would be in our future and we are so grateful for the opportunity. That said, it’s actually a very bittersweet goodbye. I love our house. The amazing community we live in. The schools. The walkability. The mild Summers. We’ve really fallen for southwest Michigan, in every area but the weather. 🙂
It was obvious that moving here was very difficult decision for us. But, so many things have happened because we were obedient to follow where we felt like God wanted us to go. So many mind blowing things, really.
We were able to be with my Father-in-law when he had a heart attack and would have never been visiting them at that time if it weren’t for the move.
I was able to have surgery by an amazing surgeon, who used methods that aren’t common and saved my life.
Met incredible people that will remain lifelong friends.
We enjoyed the most magical, snowed in white Christmas. Just like the Hallmark movies!
Added 3 new baseball stadiums to our visited list.
Have really enjoyed being able to walk to school, the grocery store, restaurants, the library and the baseball fields.
Fell in love with the one of a kind community we live in.
Went on more adventures than I ever expected.
Developed an undeniable trust in God that His plan is bigger than we could ever imagine.
We don’t know what forever has in store, but we do know that for now, we are so grateful for the ways we’ve grown, the lessons we’ve learned and the opportunity to be heading back to a place we love! God has worked out all the details with the boys getting into an incredible school and the timing working out for them to finish school here. After spending the majority of Spring Break/Easter house hunting, we are heavily leaning towards building for the 4th time. It’s hard when you build and love everything to buy something that isn’t all your favorites! It’s definitely unnerving selling our current house without a concrete plan, but this too is something I know we can trust God will work out. I will absolutely be keeping you up to date on that!
Some of you have read this blog through moves from California or DC, living in hotels and temporary living and building all 3 of our houses. Thank you all for following along on this crazy ride!
