Y’all. It’s officially summer in our house! We had the most eventful weekend with Cooper’s elementary school graduation and all the end of school year festivities. I couldn’t be more proud of my babies and the hard work they did this year! Cooper was the president of his elementary school, gave a speech that made me cry at graduation and got more awards than I can remember. Callan surpassed every expectation in 1st grade and was awarded the highest award, the Pirate award in his class!
On one of the last days of school, we snuck away with some friends for an adult surf day. I had my best run ever and I can’t wait to improve over the summer! I also had a paddle boarding day with girlfriends, which proved to be more of a workout than I realized.
The 5th graders historically skip the last day, so we got to have breakfast with Cooper on Friday and spend some time with just him. I had a creamsicle mimosa at breakfast and you all need to try it! 1/4 whipped cream vodka, 1/4 orange juice and 1/2 champagne. SO delicious!
Saturday, we had an impromptu baseball tournament, which actually ended up being a ton of fun, despite the rain! Lincoln really enjoyed playing with the umbrella the whole time! I wore flip flops to the game, but one broke on me halfway through the first game! Luckily, I had bought myself some new shoes the day before and The Hubs grabbed them from the car!
This weekend is our first overnight travel tournament for baseball and we’re pretty excited for the summer world series. This week, I’m spending time relaxing with the boys, while trying to pack and prep for our trip!
Hope you’re all enjoying your summer so far!
