It’s been awhile, but it’s time for another weekend wrap-up! We packed a TON into this weekend, so get ready for a long winded post!
We kicked off the weekend on Friday our church’s LOVE week. Each year, a full week is set aside to give back to our community. We went to a local outreach center and packed hundreds of bags of food for their pantry. It was such a moving morning, having our boys see people come through to shop; realizing that there are those who are truly in need. What a great reminder to all of us to be grateful for the blessings we have! One of my favorite quotes: “When you have more than you need, build a longer table, not a higher fence” is put into action by so many during love week!
As summer comes to an end, we’re trying to spend as much time on the lake as possible! I love surf time with my boys!
On Friday night, I threw The Hubs a belated birthday party. I didn’t have huge intentions of going over the top with the surf theme, but I did. And it was totally worth all the work! I LOVE a good theme party and even though adult birthdays are a bit ridiculous, I’ll take any excuse to plan a party!
On Saturday, we had a party for Cooper’s baseball team. One of the coaches has a great spot on the lake, so we all enjoyed swimming and a little bit of surfing. I’m always up for trying out new boats and boards!
On Sunday, church then our boys and their friend setting up a lemonade stand was on the agenda. They had been working on it for about a week and took some leftover party decor to set the stage. They ended up pretty darn proud of their earnings!
In the afternoon, we had a going away party for one of the girls in my lifegroup. It’s such a special group of ladies that I get to do life with and it’s always hard to see someone go. I love this tribe of mine!
If you made it through this whole weekend wrap-up, congrats! Hehe. This week is one I’ve been dreading for awhile, as the boys go back to school. I’m glad we stuck a lot of fun in this last official summer weekend!
