When we found out we were moving to Charlotte last year, we were thrilled. It was somewhere we’d always talked about living, even though we didn’t know too much about the area. When we came to house hunt, we were drawn to the lake. So peaceful and beautiful, we could just envision relaxing family time there.
5 months later, we’re settled in our new home and we couldn’t be happier with our location. We’ve spent so much time already, making wakes or quietly rowing. The hubs laughs at the things I need for a day on the lake. It always includes a cute hat and sunnies, my new drink of choice, grapefruit Perrier, and my dry skin soother, Curél® Itch Defense® Lotion.

I love being on top of the water, but not in it so much. I have super dry skin and it’s a challenge all year. When I add the mix of being in pools and water in the summer, I get flare-ups of eczema. I’ve had to commit myself to moisturizing very frequently, especially as we spend time at the lake, our neighborhood pool and vacation at the beach later this year. The Curél® Itch Defense® Lotion is fragrance-free and has helped me tremendously with the itchiness I typically have. If you know eczema, you know that if you can stop scratching, you’re halfway there.

These sweet boys of mine love the water and jump in at any chance they get. The only problem is that Cooper has the same skin as I do. Luckily, Curél® Itch Defense® formula is safe for children and infants over 6 months old, so I lather him up right alongside me.

Family time is just so precious. Now that Cooper is in school, I realize how much we have to cherish those afternoons and weekends that we’re all together. Those smiles I get and the joy of watching are the best thing in life.

When I have time just to be with my family, the last thing I want to be worried about is itchiness, covering up red splotchiness, or dry skin. I’m thankful for finding Curél® Itch Defense® Lotion and the comfort it’s brought me. Having moisturized, flare-up free skin is exactly what I want when I’m in shorts and bathing suits in the summer. Relaxing on the lake should be just that!

your boys are getting so grown up! I'm a Jergens girl for everyday lotion, but I used Curel when I was pregnant for all of that awful pregnancy itching 🙂 SO jealous you live on the lake! I'd DIE to live on our lakes but the real estate prices are astronomical around there since the lots are few and the demand is high.

I slather on sunscreen and keep it lubricated; my skin is so dry, it can be unbearably itchy if I don't and too much sun exposure makes it worse.

Lotion and sunscreen and then washing off of the sand and the salt water immediately when either at the pool or the beach.
