Have you ever tried sleeping with a broken heart?

{Well, you could try sleeping in my bed.}
I found the perfect house.
I walked in and felt it.
IT.
That feeling that I was so wanting to feel in “the one”.
My hands were shaky as I sent the hubs pictures.
He was out of town, but it didn’t stop me.
I made an offer.
Then I put in an escalating offer so we would beat anyone else.
We knew the house was going into foreclosure,
But were told our contract would stop that process.

This kitchen wooed me.
Our offer was accepted.
Hubs saw the house and loved it.
Pictures were sent to the family.
We went looking at furniture.
Then today, we found out there was a mortgage company
that hadn’t been paid,
and the house went into foreclosure.
Just like that.
Nothing we could do to stop it.
No one cared that there was a contract.
Now my little heart is sad,
And all hopes of being in a house by Cooper’s 2nd Birthday are gone.
I can’t look at more listings, because nothing is perfect like this one.
Hold me. Or send wine and chocolate. Or a perfect house. Please?

{So tonight, I’m gonna find a way to make it without you.}

    Househunting is so frustrating. I'm so sorry you missed out on this one. You know, it only means one thing… and you probably don't even believe me right now,

    But an even BETTER house is out there waiting for YOU! Good luck in your search…

    Aw honey bear, I'm sorry. That totally sucks. I still think you're going to find the perfect house for y'all though… give yourself a day or two and then make that house hunt your biatch. love you woman!

    Ugh, we went through something similiar with a house. Luckily, we ended up with something better only a week later. I hope things work out for you too!

    keep waiting; even if it goes into foreclosure it will probably be auctioned at the courthouse or sold by the bank. Seems like there should be more options. So sorry!

    I am so sorry! Even if you had a contract and it went to the auction steps and sold, the people that bought it at auction get it… short sales and foreclosures just don't make sense to those wanting to buy the home. 🙁

    oh babe, i'm so sorry…i know exactly what you mean. the first house me and the boy bid on was accepted but then the bank wanted to play games and we ended up losing out. a month later though, we found an even better house.

    stay positive…you'll find another one.

    Hi, I just came across your blog from Kelly's over at 3 kids, a mini van and alot of love….

    Anyways, when we had our old house on the market we looked at a few houses and found a couple we wanted to possibly purchase once ours was sold. They sold before ours did. We were very sad but now today we are greatful! We have driven by some of those houses we loved and talked about what we loved about them but then laugh and think how we'd of already out grown the house or remember why we love the house we did get to buy so much more.

    So I guess what I am trying to say is this might be a sign that there is a BETTER much CUTIER house out there you're going to love even more!!!

    Awww I'm so sorry! I know what you are going through. When we bought our home a year ago we went something similar and it is so hard!
