On Sunday, I’ll be joining 15,000 other women to run 13.1 miles in the Nike Women’s Half Marathon!
I really thought I’d feel more prepared going into this week. I started the training out strong and fast. Unfortunately, I had a knee/leg something funky that really messed up my last couple weeks of training and I’m pretty upset about it. I’m still going to run my heart out and my goal still stands to finish under 2 hours.
At least if all else fails, I’ll look cute. Rachel, who is running with me, convinced me to buy this overpriced and absolutely adorable Lululemon skirt.
There’s a good chance that first purchase of mine started a snowball effect of depleting my bank account on all things Lulu. We will be matching, of course, and we better be crossing the finish line together!
I can say that everything that happened in Boston last week made me a little nervous about running. It’s sad that there is really no where you can go and feel completely safe these days. I did give thought to not running at all, but decided to go ahead with it. I’ve worked so hard and I don’t want anyone to take that away from me!
Y’all are my virtual cheering section, so get me through come Sunday!

I thought about not running too but I've waited too long for this to miss out, I love that skirt I have it in mint and ALMOST bought that exact same color! I opted for the speed shorts though my old favorites in a fun green buffalo check pattern. Hope to see ya there 🙂

I don't blame you for feeling uneasy after Boston. It's awful that we can't go about our lives and enjoy things without having to worry about horrific things like this. That being said-I know you will do awesome! I will say a prayer for you 🙂
Jodi says
It makes me so sad that you and probably so many others are nervous about participating in races. I'm glad you are still going to do it. I'll be praying that y'all will be safe. I know Boston caught the 2 bad guys but unfortunately there will always be more. Run for all the people in Boston who didn't get to finish. You'll be so proud of yourself!!!
Kenzie @ Life According to Kenz says
Yay Molly! Two things: First, you're going to look ADORABLE in that running skirt. And secondly, YOU'RE GOING TO ROCK THIS! Prayers to you…And all of my love and encouragement. 🙂
