Stay Home Beauty Essentials

Just because we aren’t seeing people, doesn’t mean we have to let ourselves go while we’re at home! This time can be a really great one for our hair, skin and nails to give them all a little break. I’m letting my hair air dry a lot and going many days without make-up to let my face breath a little. I’m also taking a lot of vitamins and drinking plenty of water.

There are several products that I’ve been using that have made me feel good over the last few weeks that you might find helpful, too.

At Home Beauty Favorites

Palmers Face Oil – this stuff is awesome! I’ve been putting it on in the morning and evening and my face is clear and glowy! Best of all, it’s under $10! (as of time of this post, it’s actually on sale less than $5!)

Gel Manicure Light – I have a whole post about my DIY gel mani and now is a great time to practice. It does take a little practice to perfect it, so get to work! 🙂 I love these DND sets that come with the gel for your finger nails and the regular lacquer for your toe nails. Speaking of nails, I love this glass nail file especially for very gently touching up around a manicure.

L’Oréal Root Coverup Spray – I’ve had grey hair since I was 19 years old. Covering those roots is no shock to me and this stuff works really well! I spray it on when I have wet hair and let it dry. I use the dark brown.

Beach Babe Dry Shampoo – I like dry shampoo specifically for dark hair, but this one smells great and works really well. It does leave a residue for me initially, but once I brush, it disappears almost instantly. I usually go 3-4 days between shampoos.

Crest White Strips – Another treat yourself thing that is great to do now! I do these regularly because of my love of coffee and red wine and they really do work great.

Tan – I’ve been trying to sit on the deck for sun, but a little tan in a can never made anyone feel bad! This is my current favorite (this is the face version) and has been for a couple years. I also love this one as another option and have been itching to try these drops. Anyone use them? Now might be my chance to give them a shot!

Great Mascara – I’ve been going pretty bare with my makeup to give my skin a break, but I still keep the mascara on! I got this one to recover from my lash extensions being gone sadness and I love it! It’s on a good sale here: 2/$33 right now!

Healing Clay Face Mask – This is so weird and strange, but it works so well! It’s a powder that you mix up with water or apple cider vinegar. It gets really tight on your face and leaves it so fresh! The reviews speak for themselves!
