These 5 meals my teens didn’t complain about are easy, weeknight dishes that I have had on our meal plan in the last couple of weeks. I hope you can add them into your family rotation!
I have 2 teens and a tween and they are insanely picky for being men that don’t want to cook anything for themselves! I have had some misses in the last couple of weeks, but also some no complaint meals that are absolutely worth sharing. A couple new, a couple tried and true. Hope you add these into your rotation!
5 Meals My Teens Didn’t Complain About and I bet yours won’t either!
Firecracker Chicken Meatballs with Pineapple Rice
I have made this dish SO many times and it’s amazing! I have made with the meatballs in the recipe, but also with Amylu’s Teriyaki Pineapple Chicken Meatballs and it’s a great time saver! This one is also easy to make gluten free with the Amylu meatballs or GF panko. I have made it several times for my GF family members and they have given it great reviews as well. I double the recipe because it’s great for leftovers.

Copycat Chipotle Chicken Bowls
My friend made us this when we went to their house and my boys told me I HAD to get the recipe from her! The chicken goes in a marinade for a while, which I did early in the day, but you can definitely do it overnight. The recipe calls for grilling the chicken, but we currently don’t have a grill so I used the air fryer and it worked perfectly! I made a little corn salsa with 1 can of corn, some cotija cheese, cilantro, purple onion, taco seasoning and a little olive oil to add to the bowls. I made rice with a little lime juice and salt and the other toppings were lettuce, black beans and cheese. These can be whatever toppings your family likes!

Slowcooker Cowboy Casserole
Here’s the biggest controversy of the meal plan – a crockpot dinner! My boys HATE when they see the crockpot out and I truly don’t get it at all. But they not only ate this one, but rated it a 9 for a crockpot meal. Also, they ate leftovers, which never happens for crockpot meals here! It does take a bit of prep with cooking the meat first, but I did this early in the day and was so glad we had a good meal after baseball. I replaced the sour cream with greek yogurt for more protein and topped with some avocado and cheese.

Sheetpan Crunchwrap Supremes
I have made these before and have also made Homemade Crunchwrap Supremes and they’re always a hit. This sheetpan version cuts out a lot of standing at the cooktop time and was perfect for a night when I was busy and needed to just pop food in the oven. I also replaced sour cream with greek yogurt in this one and no one can tell! We skipped the tomatoes because my family doesn’t love them and topped with avocado, salsa, cilantro and more greek yogurt.

Greek Chicken Pitas
These greek chicken pitas were my favorite meal in this list! The chicken was so flavorful! I added about 1/2 cup of greek yogurt to the chicken marinade because I think that makes the chicken so much more tender. I also used the air fryer to cook this chicken and it worked great! I got a big package of pitas at Costco for a great deal, but you can find pita bread at any grocery store.

That’s a wrap! Hope these meals find their way into your meal plan soon! If you’re looking for more meal favorites of ours, find them here and here!
